Starting this weekend, Durham Cathedral is inviting people to join the most important Christian festival of the year, with a programme of special services and events.
From Palm Sunday (2 April) to Easter Sunday (9 April), known as Holy Week, Durham Cathedral is inviting people to come together to journey through the Easter story and celebrate the passion, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Bach's St John Passion
4 April - 7pm
Durham Cathedral Choir joins forces with period instrument performers The Avison Ensemble to perform Bach's stunning St John Passion.
Maundy Thursday
6 April – 7.30pm
Sung Eucharist with stripping of the altar
Good Friday
7 April – 12noon
Liturgy of the Day with veneration of the cross
Easter Sunday
9 April – 5am
Dawn Liturgy with baptism and confirmation
9 April – 11.15am
Sung Eucharist with renewal of baptismal vows
